Unleash your Impact - For Women in Leadership

We know the challenges the female voice faces in the workplace. Women outnumbered by men in a group are less likely to speak their mind. New research has found that women speak 75% less than men in such a setting..

This empowering workshop gives participants the space to connect and share and then sets about building the confidence, self-awareness and skills needed to unleash their potential as powerful, engaging communicators. We look at the fears that are holding them back and then each participant unpicks a recent work achievement to find out what communication strengths it reveals and how they can use it to create a best practice platform. From there we work on developing proven, contemporary techniques to deliver their message whatever the challenge, whatever the situation.

SOME OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • STEP ONE: IMPACT

Participants analyse the perception of their impact using workplace scenarios:

    • What impact are they having - is it the one they mean to have?

    • How are they achieving this impact? What are they saying and doing?

    • What would they change to achieve impact goals?

    • What limiting thoughts and behaviours would they have to set aside for this to last?

  • STEP TWO: THE CHALLENGES

When is it hardest: Share challenges you face.

Four fatal fears: There are four main fears that derail communication - participants apply them to real-life situations where you feel you haven’t communicated your ideas as effectively as you would like and create a positive strategy to use in similar situations going forward.

Power, warmth, focus dynamic: We look at the double-blind paradox that affects women in the workplace and what happens when the power/warmth dynamic is out of balance. We look at how to keep the power in your message without feeling uncomfortable.

  • STEP THREE: USING YOUR STRENTHS

Why you? What are the strengths and values that underpin each participant’s impact goals. How can these be leveraged day to day? Participants then take the next step, confidently verbalising their differentiators.

  • Assertive delivery: Techniques to remain rooted in personal strengths and in control when the dealing with the challenges from step 2.
